We prioritize product launches, meaningful updates, funding, partnerships, acquisitions and original interviews. We write for readers interested in how the internet, technology and digital finance are changing.
Sourcing and verification
An article is only as good as what it can be traced to. Before we publish:
- Every factual claim must come from a source we can name and link. Each article shows its sources under the headline and lists them again at the end.
- Every number, date and amount in the text must appear in the source material.
- Every direct quotation must appear word for word in a source, and is attributed to the person and to the outlet that reported it.
- A second, independent check looks for any claim the sources do not directly support. Anything that fails is held back and not published.
- Where a story rests on a single outlet's reporting, we attribute it to that outlet and do not present it as independently confirmed.
We do not publish rumors, price predictions or unverified claims from anonymous social accounts as fact.
How we use AI
Epoch Desk is the newsroom byline, not an individual reporter. We do not invent reporters, sources, quotations or interviews.
Reporting, opinion and sponsored content
Three kinds of content look different from each other, and we label them so you can tell:
- Reporting states what happened and attributes it. It is the default.
- Opinion and analysis is marked as such and represents the view of its author.
- Sponsored content is marked “Sponsored” with a disclosure. Sponsors do not influence our reporting.
We do not rewrite promotional material, press-release marketing or price-prediction pieces as news.
Images
Where we cannot show a real photograph of a story, we use an illustration. Illustrations generated by AI carry a caption saying so, and are never presented as documentary photographs of an event. We avoid depicting identifiable real people in generated images.

Prices, indices and market data on this site are provided for information and come from third-party providers, so they may be delayed or contain errors.
